Croissant “Cornetti” in Rome

The capital city is full of little tiny bistros that sell you delicious croissants full of calories at a cheap price.
The most sold in the first hours of the day is coffe or cappuccino along with a croissant.
The name of the place “Er montacarichi” (via di Pietralata 159/a) finds its origins from the elevator that brings you to the croissant and maritozzi’s floor. Near San Pietro instead on viale Angelico, on the right there are some steps that walk you to a sweet place where the best “cornettos” are eaten. The Sorchettaro (Via Cernaia 49) is open from midnight to 9.00 a.m.
It’s a weird name where it is hidden the name of “sorchetta” that is a sweet made from the cornetto’s dough and the inside of cream and chocolate. Other places for a good night cornetto are: Il Cornettone (Via Oderisi da Gubbio), Dolce Maniera (Via Barletta 27), Cornetteria/Pasticceria “5 stelle” (Via di Tor Vergata 424), Mostri del Cornetto (Via Beniamino De Ritis 34), Romoli (Viale Eritrea) e Pompi (Via Albalonga 7/b e Via Cassia 8b).
